Robots!

Robots!

Yesterday was a good day at Hack Manhattan. Earlier in the day, we were given a free cake. Then in the evening, we were very happy to welcome Korean robotics firm, ROBOTIS, to our space, where we were given free robots!

Local STEM educators and our very own Hackers were invited to a talk and hands-on workshop to learn about the OLLO kit, used by the company in their ‘KidsLab’ classes to inspire STEM learning for grades K-6. We all channeled our inner 8-year olds for the evening, and demonstrated rather well how the kit can captivate focus, even in adults (see below for proof).

We thank ROBOTIS heartily for their visit, and look forward to the next round of robots when they return to us in the future!

Quin was first to complete his bot. He looked very happy about it!

Stephen's LEGO-honed building skills gave him extra time to add wings.
